REVISED #我喜歡的一本書 (“my favourite book”)
我們一家人是喜歡讀書的,可以說我們已經變成書蟲。一本三百多頁的書, 可以在六個小時之內讀完。我們不僅每個人都有各別的讀書興趣,而且閱讀習慣也 都不盡相同。近日,我發覺自己買了許多書。幾十本之中我最喜歡的一本書是 Robert S.Murray 的:「It’sAlreadyInside」.這本書有三十六多項關於作者幾十年的經歷。 你知道什麼才是做一位好的領導者嗎?讀這本書之前我真的不知道何謂「好的領導 者」,讀完這本書後,才發現原來每個人都能做一個「好的領導者」。不管是在事業 上還是平日和家人或朋友之間的關係,他的提出的建議都非常有道理,而且可說是 不錯。
比喻上個星期上班時,我剛剛讀完那本書,所以很多故事還在我腦中盤旋…… 作為一個好員工應該有什麼態度呢?作為一位用功的員工應該自願做什麼的呢? 作為一位了解客人需要的人應該怎麼做,而能顯示出他們的經歷更好呢?在這本書 之中,作者親自承認每次遇到困難就問自己,在這個情況之下,好的結果是怎樣的? 我喜歡這個想法,因為我們試過想得到理想的結果,但是三番四次直到最後才發現 沒有能力完成起初定下的計劃。但如果無時無刻當我遇到困難時,都會問自己這個 問題,那好的結果是能達到的。
從這本書中,我發現怎樣可以改變自己的看法:對別人公平一點,而細心地留 意到對每個顧客的態度。人人都會經歷過開心和悲傷的事情,有些在哪裡跌倒就應 該在哪裡再站起來。我發現對陌生人打一個招呼,然後談論最近天氣,再加上近日 的新聞,比我們有意識去認識這個人更容易。可以因為我跟這些人不太熟悉,所以 不怕跟他們談論。但如果你在剛開始就已經認定這位顧客是一個什麼樣的人,對他 有偏見或先入為主,如因這個人的膚色、身材的肥瘦、高矮等外貌來判斷,那就會 大錯特錯,會遭受失敗的結果。
從這本書我學到的知識比上商業學校的竟然更多、更有益和更豐富。比如書中 告訴我們怎樣主持會議,對同事的態度應怎樣和做國際業務在溝通上的困難。我開 始了解更多關於人的態度,但是不僅是知識層面的,我意識到遇到不論大小的任何 事,都應對他人的想法作自我反省。
近來我對這份工作產生新的興趣,發覺每日最興奮的是跟客人溝通,聆聽他們 的故事、看法,並學會購買新衣服的方略。

finally got my hands on a @mybkr bottle and a limited edition canary silicon shade one too to boot. How amazing is this color? Oh, this one inch opening for drinking is so nice though the cap worries me. What if it doesn’t turn tight enough and drops? Glass breaks quickly…

Months of knitting and snipping the ends of rolls together to give this super-lush not for sale, forever mine, warm blanket for all seasons to come. Oh, by the way, it measures at least 7 feet and 40 stitches wide using 10mm or US size 15 needles for the ultimate chic, wool and the gang signature look!

first time trying out tangerine lips! It’s definitely a look I won’t forget. But as to whether I will ever be brave enough to sport this look in public for just a second needs a second thought, or three. Also got the microfiber cloth, mascara, foundation in linen (Asian skin tone shade) and two face and body sprays that my sister and brother claim to be unbearably smelly from @afferacosmtics based in Vancouver, bc. Also I would like to mention that the lipstick packaging should be taller as mine has already been nabbed, smudged and spread across the clear packaging in all directions. I love the primitive makeup brand of lipsticks because the product is actually short enough to be protected by the tube packaging. My favourite of the brand is the peal lip treatment in Sedona. Friends complimented on the shade too. Love it! If only they shipped to Canada. Mint and berry Canada stocks them but waiting for more things to add to my cart for free shipping!

Things university puts students through
was asked if I value my life today for taking on a six-course load. Kind of made me think….besides from the fact that the person who asked recalled forced upon eight classes at bcit for one semester. He even said so much as to forgetting completely the effort and material from an entire course while trying to balance the rest of his schoolwork and potentially carrying a part time job on the side.
